I listened to this audiobook through Audible, at my own expense. This had the potential to be a really great mystery thriller. Tami Hoag is one of the most intense suspense writers around. The writing was really good and the flow works from beginning to end. This all adds up to just too many pages and not enough reality outside of the mucky gross parts. One thing I really enjoy about Hoag’s books so far is that she introduces different complex characters, and any of them could be the killer.
